Tony is a former NZ police officer having spent 10 years in front line roles before making the transition to digital forensics with the Electronic Crime Laboratory (ECL).
In this role he provided forensic services across a multiple homicide enquiries, and specialised in providing close support to investigators. This entailed search warrant attendance, facilitation of mass device review and scene attendance on secondment to Maritime NZ. He also delivered lectures at the Royal New Zealand Police College, both to Detectives and scene of crime (SOCO) staff. He received Top Secret clearance to support his work with the GCSB and SIS.
Tony undertook several specialist courses in Forensic Tool Kit and Encase, and qualified as an Encase Certified Examiner (EnCE). He also received training in Mac OS forensics and has been certified in A+ (Computer Technician) N+ (Network Technician) and MCP (Microsoft Certified Professional). He is accepted as an expert witness in digital forensics having given evidence in the High Court of New Zealand .
His current client base varies from small businesses to law firms to government entities and multinational companies.
In his private time he enjoys fitness, self-building tiny homes, car customising, low code software development and historical fiction. He also has a near inexhaustible store of "better work stories", which he never hesitates to share...
Allan is an expert on computer networks and cloud services owing a company operating a team of engineers in the Auckland area for the past 25 years.
Since 2020 he has worked with Tony on numerous cases for government regulators, specialising in forensic capture of data from complex computer networks, analysis and reporting review.
He has been certified as an engineer on Microsoft systems, and brings a vast array of knowledge and experience of IT into Delve Forensic. His staff are able to deploy in support of large scale forensic acquisitions.
